Erectile dysfunction (ED) is a common male sexual dysfunction that affects millions of men worldwide. ED is characterized by the inability to attain or maintain an erection sufficient for satisfactory sexual intercourse. The causes of ED can be physical, psychological, or a combination of both. Focused shockwave therapy (FSWT) is a relatively new non-invasive treatment for ED that uses high-energy sound waves to improve blood flow to the penis and stimulate the growth of new blood vessels.
FSWT has been shown to be effective in improving erectile function in men with ED. The therapy works by generating acoustic waves that are targeted at the tissue of the penis. These sound waves create pressure and mechanical stress in the tissue, which stimulates the growth of new blood vessels and improves blood flow to the penis. This increased blood flow helps to restore normal erectile function.

FSWT is a safe and well-tolerated treatment for ED. The procedure is performed in a clinic and typically takes about 15 minutes. The patient lies on a table and the therapist applies a gel to the penis to help transmit the shockwaves. The shockwaves are then focused on the penis using a probe that is placed on the skin. The patient may feel a mild discomfort during the treatment, but this is typically not painful.
FSWT has been shown to be an effective treatment for ED in several studies. In a study published in the Journal of Sexual Medicine, FSWT was found to be effective in improving erectile function in 86% of men with ED. Another study published in the same journal found that FSWT was associated with significant improvements in erectile function and sexual satisfaction in patients with ED.
One of the benefits of FSWT is that it is a non-invasive treatment, meaning that it does not require surgery or the use of medications. This makes it a good option for men who are unable to take oral ED medications or who do not want to undergo surgery. In addition, FSWT is a one-time treatment, meaning that it does not require ongoing medication or other forms of therapy.
Another benefit of FSWT is that it is a safe and well-tolerated treatment. Unlike some other treatments for ED, such as surgery, FSWT does not carry a risk of complications or side effects. This makes it a good option for men who are concerned about the risks associated with other treatments.

The treatment is done in the clinic. You will need to undress the lower part of your body. The shockwave therapy machine will be used on the penis and under the testicles. If you wish, you can hold the therapy handpiece yourself.
The treatment takes about 15 minutes and you will be able to go about your normal daily activities immediately after the treatment.
