Powdered Stevia

Our Stevia Extract Powder is known for its clean, bitter-free taste. We harvest the highest grade Certified Organic stevia leaves, then process using no harsh solvents. At Reb-A levels of 98% and over 99.99% Stevioglycosides, our Stevia Powder is a deliciously sweet no-calorie sweetener with no aftertaste. Our proprietary stevia is cultivated from an extensive network of family-owned farms. The leaves are picked by hand at the peak of the growing season, then dried naturally using sunlight and fresh air. Self-sustaining farming methods help preserve the naturally-beneficial phytochemicals of the stevia leaf.

Each batch of raw materials is tested in a 3rd-party laboratory prior to processing and packaging.

The Science Behind The Taste

All pure white stevia powders are not the same. To understand the differences, read a little about the science of stevia below.

Rebaudiosides

The Rebaudiosides are the yardstick of clean taste in Stevia, and the true measure of premium quality. Though most labels show the Stevioglycosides (described below), only the highest-quality stevia products state their Rebaudioside percentages.

The Rebaudioside levels, divided into categories A, B or C, reflect the amount of bitter aftertaste you’ll experience. Category A is the least bitter, and the higher the Reb-A percentage, the less bitter it will be. The highest Reb-A standardization achievable by any process is 98%.

At the other end of the scale, at the most bitter, is Reb-C. Processes that use enzymes can only produce Reb-B or Reb-C, and stevia products made through the enzyme process will always have a bitter aftertaste.

Not every stevia leaf can produce high Reb-A stevia, so we start by being choosy about the variety we use, then we sort and source only the best of those leaves.

For the cleanest taste, choose a stevia powder with Reb-A standardization between 80% and 98% (most on the market are below 65%). Stevia powders with a high Reb-A percentage will be low in the lower-quality categories of Reb-B and/or Reb-C. Conversely, a product standardized to only 65%, will have a high Reb-B/Reb-C percentage of 35%, with a distinct and significant aftertaste.

Stevioglycosides

Stevioglycosides denote potency/sweetness. The more stevioglycosides, the sweeter it will be, and the less you need use. Omica stevias have very high stevioglycoside levels. Our Reb-A 98% has a stevioglycoside level of 99.99%, 450 times sweeter than sugar, so you need use only a tiny amount.

For this reason, when using our stevia for the first time, we request that consumers do a taste test. Start with less than half of the amount you usually use of other brands (you may need to begin with even less), then add in just a tiny bit at a time while continuing to taste until you determine the perfect amount for you.

Though many brands list the stevioglycosides on their label, it’s important to remember that it’s the Reb-A percentage levels that truly denote a premium stevia.

Processing

Our gentle TruExtract™ processing method uses no enzymes or harsh chemical solvents such as methane, hexane, or ethyl acetate. We don’t use any methods that leave residue or reduce the natural concentration of the nectar.

Our stevias are USDA Certified Organic and Kosher, high standards that can only be met by companies who avoid these solvents. Instead, we process using only water and organic alcohol, the only solvents approved for Organic and Kosher certification.

Not only do these certifications signify the circumstances under which the plant was grown, but equally important, safeguard the consumer from a vast list of inorganic and/or industrial chemicals.

Liquid Stevia

Liquid Stevia is a naturally highly-concentrated direct extract. Created using our proprietary revolutionary TruExtract™ production method, this is un-reconstituted from white powdered Stevia Extract (unlike other liquid stevia products that are reconstituted from dehydrated stevia). This is a true liquid extract that has not been spray-dried, and only slightly filtered, leaving the beneficial micronutrients intact.
